Penang Trip

Last week, hubby and I went to Penang for a trip.  We stayed at 1926 Heritage Hotel in Georgetown, the name of this hotel simply tell you the design of it.  One of the reason I chose to stay at this hotel because the swimming pool looks stunning attraction for me from the website.  But when we arrived there, it made me feel disappointed after I saw the pool is under renovation.  Breakfast provided quite a few of variety food, I was happy with white porridge with some pickles and fruits.

We went for well known Penang Street Art in Georgetown.  My hubby and I parked our car at a parking lot then carried an umbrella and a camera to start this journey --  look for murals.  The funniest thing was we had no idea where they were!   But he was very smart, he took out his iPhone to search for the website and went according to the road's names.  We were like adventurers, looking up and down, left and right, looking for those murals everywhere.  Even sometime we found ourselves on a small & narrow street, sometime we found ourselves at the backside of people houses, sometime we saw many tourists were gather at a place and taking pictures, then we knew that there would have something we were searching.  When we found those murals, I just so excited like a kid, asking to take pictures with different poses, tried to get the best one with those children on the wall, then we rushed for the next murals .  Ernest Zacharevic artist really leaves his beautiful, cute and funny wall painting all across the historical Georgetown, his art gives "color" & "life" for Penang Georgetown.

While we were searching the last mural "Children in a Boat", we walked through wooden walkways with many wooden houses at both sides, then we reached Chew Jetty.  My hubby and I picked up two sweet & sour plum popsicles at a tiny wooden store on the way here.  It was always an enjoyable thing to do - having popsicles when you were sweating.  We stood at this jetty, enjoyed the beautiful scene, let the wind blew on our faces, I thought that was the most wonderful ending on this trip.
